O banco de investimento americano Signal Hill divulgou esta semana análise sobre o desempenho das operações de fusões e aquisições no setor de TI, corridas nos últimos doze meses – findados em 30/set/2011 (LTM), comparativamente com o igual período do ano anterior.

O total das transações divulgadas cresceu 39,4% no período dos últimos 12 meses comparado com igual período de 2010.
Quanto ao total do valor das operações no período (LTM) verificou-se uma queda significativa de 26,3%.


Merece destaque a tabela dos múltiplos EV/Revenues e EV/Ebitda praticados nos diversos segmentos do setor de TI.

APAC Customer Services acquired by One Equity Partners
Enterprise Value: $417.8 million

Target Sector: Outsourcing
One Equity Partners, the private investment arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co, agreed to acquire APAC Customer Services, Inc., a provider of global outsourced services and solutions. The acquisition is one of nine in the call center BPO sector during Q3, including three alone by ACSXerox.

AppLabs Technology acquired by CSC
Enterprise Value: $230.9 million
Revenue Multiple: 2.0x
Target Sector: Offshore Outsourcing; Testing CSC, a business solutions, technology and outsourcing company, acquired AppLabs Technologies Private Limited, an India-based pure-play software testing and quality management service provider.

Vitalize Consulting acquired by SAIC
Enterprise Value: $190.0 million
Revenue Multiple: 2.5x
Target Sector: Healthcare IT Consulting & Systems Integration
Science Applications International Corporation, a provider of scientific,engineering, systems integration and technical services and solutions, acquired Vitalize Consulting Solutions (VCS), Inc., a provider of clinical, business and information technology (IT) services for healthcare enterprises.

AIVE Group acquired by Capgemini
Enterprise Value: $61.9 million
Revenue Multiple: 0.8x

The combination will enable Capgemini to strengthen its application portfolio, as well as its SaaS positioning and market share in IT services in Italy.

Zenta acquired by Accenture (Accenture Credit Services)
